McGonigle joins Donegal Senior Football management

Inishowen Independent columnist Paul McGonigle has been included in Jim McGuinness’ new backroom team announced on Wednesday.
The 39-year-old Buncrana man, who still lines out for his club in Division 2 of the All County League, will join Ardara’s Damian Diver and Ballyshannon’s John Duffy in a backroom team shake up following the departure of Rory Gallagher and Maxi Curran.
McGonigle, who is currently chairman of the Buncrana GAA Club, played for Donegal from 2001-04.
Like Diver and Duffy, he is a former teammate of Jim McGuinness.
McGonigle said that he didn’t have to think too long or hard about getting involved after being approached by the 2012 All-Ireland winning manager.
