‘Pink Fergie’ on tour for Action Breast Cancer

Pink Tractor

The Inishowen Vintage Club has joined forces with Centra Supermarket for a tractor run around the peninsula this Sunday in aid of Action Breast Cancer.
There will be an added attraction with the appearance of ‘Pink Fergie’, a girly version of the classic Ferguson TE20.
Noel Doherty, of the successful Inishowen tractor build team, was more than happy to see his beloved tractor turn pink for the cause.
“Raising money is one thing but I think raising awareness is just as important, if not more so. Breast cancer is often thought to affect women only, but we need to highlight that men can also get breast cancer and sure what better way than taking part in the Big Pink Tractor build,” he said.
The novel idea of ‘Pink Fergie’ came about when Noel met with Ciaran McKenna, manager of Centra, Moville.

Proceedings begin this Sunday, September 29, with vintage tractors converging at Centra. Registration is €10 per tractor with departure at 10.15am sharp.
