Bradley adds Asian games medal to his list of achievements
Buncrana’s All Ireland winning Gaelic footballer Ryan Bradley has just added another medal to his already impressive haul of two Ulster Championships and one All Ireland medal by helping his new club Qatar to victory at the Asian games, held in Kuala Lumpar last week.
Bradley was joined on the team by his brother in law, John Sheerin who was a member of the Burt club before emigrating to the gulf state a few year’s ago.
In a small interview given to Jerome Quinn after the final, Ryan was delighted to have helped his new club to victory. “It’s a great feeling, especially for the boys who have been here for a long time and have put in a lot of work with the club and I am delighted to have played a small part in the team’s success”, said the big Buncrana man.
Legendary GAA commentator Michael O Muircheartaigh was also in attendance and actually commentated on the final over the loud speakers which added to the whole atmosphere.
Former Burt clubman Joe Donaghy also took part in the games, which were a major success and the organisers have described this year’s games as the most successful yet, with a record number of teams taking part.
