Buncrana basketball set to re-launch this week
Buncrana Basketball is kicking off the new season on Tuesday night the 1st October at 6pm. Activity co-ordinator Marcella Sheridan has been working hard over the past few weeks.
She has procured the services of Senior Coach, and vastly experienced player Michael Louth from Dublin. Michael is a Level Three coach who has recently come to the area and is willing to offer his professional services.
He will have the assistance of Junior Coach, Toby Doherty. Toby has shown a keen interest in Basketball Coaching over the past few years.
Facilities at Buncrana Youth & Community Centre are of the highest standard, the new multi-purpose sports hall has a full International size Basketball Court with two Junior Courts. There are a total of six baskets for practice and games.
Co-ordinator Marcella Sheridan is aiming to get as many young people in the town to come along and take advantage of the coaching that will be available.
“We are very lucky to have been able to get Michael Louth on board and will be hoping for a big turnout on Tuesday night as his training sessions will be second to none and with his experience he can only be of help to young players learning the game”.
Everyone is welcome to come see and try out the various skills of the game. For further information, contact Marcella Sheridan on 074 9361594.
