Inishowen begin Oscar Traynor campaign on Sunday

The Inishowen Oscar Traynor squad will begin their campaign this Sunday afternoon with a home game against Sligo in Maginn Park, hoping that they can go one further than last year’s wonderful run to the final in which they eventually went down 3-1 to top Dublin side AUL.
Team boss Diarmuid O’Brien is not getting carried away however and has set his sights firmly on three points this Sunday. “Last year was fantastic and has really boosted the profile of the league, but last year is in the past now and we have to concentrate fully on getting the three points this weekend.”
O’Brien has not been helped in the lead up to the game with a total of six players pulling out of the squad due to a mixture of injuries and players away on holiday, but the boss is in no mood for making excuses.
