Glengad man to seek Fianna Fáil nomination
A Glengad man, Martin McDermott has said he is seeking a nomination from Fianna Fáil to run in next year’s local government elections.
Martin, a long-serving member of Fianna Fáil, has been involved with the local community for many years and feels that his age group (he is 37) needs representation at local level.
He said: “The age group I belong to grew up during the boom and we have been the group hit hardest by austerity.
“I really believe that we need to have a voice at council level and for that reason I am putting my name forward for the Fianna Fáil nomination.”
