Book Launch tonight at McGrory’s
Local historian and author Sean Beattie is launching his latest book “Donegal in Transition The Impact of the Congested Districts Board” in McGrory’s, Culdaff, tonight, Thursday 10 October at 7pm in conjunction with the official opening of the Charles Macklin Autumn School. This will be followed by music from The Inishowen Traditional Music Project.
Taobh Na Cille Dance
Dance in Taobh na Cille next Wednesday with music by Tom Lafferty of Showcase (Sky TV) fame. Admission including supper €4 with dancing 8.45pm–11pm.
Rhyme Time At Carndonagh Library
Rhyme Time for preschool children will take place in the library every Wednesday morning at 11am.
Inishowen Civic Forum
The Inishowen Civic Forum, under the Chairmanship of Jim McCarroll, will launch an ambitious Regeneration Programme for the Inishowen Peninsula at a meeting in the Strand Hotel, Ballyliffin, at 8pm on Tuesday next 15 October at 8pm.
Among the VIP speakers for the launch will be John Hogan, national President, Muintir na Tire, who will address a wide range of regeneration matters such as providing the basic services in rural areas both for permanent residents and visitors. John says for many it will require thinking outside the box and that is what may well be required. He will illustrate his talk with slides.

Feile Grianan Ailigh
Feile Grianan Ailigh are planning a series of fundraising events for nexty year. The first of the fundraisers will be a big fun quiz night at the Grianan Hotel on 15 November starting at 9pm sharp.

Mr And Mrs Night
As a fundraiser for Scoil Cholmcille, Greencastle, the parents’ association is hosting a Mr and Mrs Night on Friday 1 November in the Redcastle Hotel followed by a disco. Doors open at 7.30pm for show starting at 8pm sharp. Tickets €10 and are available at Gillen’s, Moville, Redcastle Post Office, Castle Convenience, Greencastle.
