A pub quiz will be held in the Carman’s Inn, Ture, this Friday 11 October at 9pm, €5 per head. Teams of four, with raffle on the night. Get your thinking caps on for costume ideas at our Halloween fancy dress disco in the Squealing Pig on 25 October also junior disco on the 30th at St Mary’s community hall. All revenue from these events going to Muff Community Park. Please support your community play park, your input would be greatly appreciated.
Men’s Health Course
A men’s health course will be starting next Tuesday 15 October 7.30–9pm, running for six weeks. Topics covered will include stress, blood pressure, cholesterol, moods, diet, sleep and staying healthy. The cost is €4 per night or €20 for the entire course. A pilgrimage to Doon Well and Ards is organised for Sunday 3 November. Bus leaving Brendan’s shop, Drung, at 11am, stopping at the Point Lodge, Quigley’s Point, Maxol Filling Station, Muff, and Burt Chapel. Cost €31, including bus and dinner. A yoga class for women will be held on Wednesday mornings 11am–midday and for men on Wednesday nights 7–8pm at Quigley’s Point community centre; contact Mary on 00447 85 103 6144.
Time On Your Hands
Tuesdays at St Mary’s community hall 8 October Fit Walk 2–4pm and on 15 October (book club) line dancing (1–2pm) 2.30–4pm. At Greenbank hall Quigley’s Point Thursday 10 October bowls/crochet 1.30–3.30pm and on 17 October at the same time. Programme for the rest of October will be published later.
Community bingo every Saturday night in St Mary’s Community Hall at 9.15pm.

Anniversary mass in Muff on Thursday at 7.30pm will be offered for Jimmy Rehill on his anniversary.

Junior McConellogue and Joe Faulkner both retire from delivering the post in their respective areas on Friday 11 October. In recognition of this a celebration in their honour will be held in The Point Inn on Saturday 12 October from 9.30pm. Everyone welcome to this celebration.
Scor Na NOg
A reminder that Scor na nOg takes place soon. Any child who wants to take part (under 17) can contact Eileen on 086 872 0734. Events taking place are solo singing, ballad group, recitation, team dancing and team quiz.
