Three youths charged with false imprisonment and burglary accused of having replica handgun
Trio remanded on bail to appear in December
THREE LOCAL teenagers have been remanded on bail after they were charged with false imprisonment and burglary.
Two young men, Jason Bonner, from Aghilly, Buncrana and Lee McLaughlin, from Station Road, Carn, both 18, along with a juvenile, who cannot be named, are accused of falsely imprisoning Danniella Doherty and of committing burglary at the residence of Patrick Pembrook at Mullins, Carn on September 29.
The three are accused of having a replica Colt handgun during the alleged burglary last month.
Sergeant Danny Devlin charged each of the youths at Buncrana Garda Station on Tuesday morning, later bringing them before Judge Paul Kelly at Buncrana District Court.
The defendants were remanded to appear before Carn Court on December 17 for service of the book of evidence.
Inspector David Murphy said the Director of Public Prosecutions had directed a ‘trial on indictment’ for Bonner and McLaughlin, however he indicated that the juvenile could be dealt with at the District Court.
