Ten Inishowen Players Win Inter Provincial Crown

The Ulster Senior League team won the Inter Provincial tournament last weekend for the first time in seventeen years, with ten players from Inishowen making up over half of the 18 man squad.
Eight players from the successful Cockhill Celtic team along with Derry City duo Georgie Kelly and Seamus Houghton were involved in the team, managed by Cockhill boss, Donal O’Brien. It has been an unbelievable few weeks for the Cockhill boss, having completed a league and cup double with his club and followed it up with this All-Ireland success with the league side.
Speaking to the Inishowen Independent O’ Brien couldn’t speak highly enough of the league, “We wanted for nothing the whole weekend, the league put us up in a top class hotel, gave us the best in terms of gear and food and our preparation was first class.”
