Jim weds bride at spot where his grandparents left Ireland 100 years ago
An historic first ever wedding on Moville Pier this month saw an American couple tie the knot by the waves of Lough Foyle.
The unique location was a poignant one for Jim La Russo and Mary Reed, who arrived in Ireland for the first time for the emotional ceremony.
Groom Jim, who lives in North Conway, New Hampshire, chose the location after learning that his grandparents, John McGilloway and Sarah McGonigle, left Moville for Boston; both boarding separate freighters in 1913 never to return.
