Inishowen grandmother proud of new book

‘My father was a real inspiration to my stories’
An Inishowen grandmother has realised a lifetime ambition by publishing a debut book of short stories, released this week.
Originally from Glengad but resident in Greencastle for many years, author Celia McDermott [Davy Owen] has dedicated her new collection of fiction to her father Davy McLaughlin.
“My father was a real inspiration to me. He was a great storyteller and my stories are based on some of the tales that I recall from my childhood,” she said.
