Inishtrahull photo wins national prize

Culdaff photographer top of the pile at Clean Coast photography competition

A stunning photo of Inishtrahull (above) scooped a prestigious national photography prize last week.

Captured by Culdaff-based photographer Stoycho Danev, the photograph of Inishtrahull, with the lighthouse signalling and the Scottish islands of Jura and Islay in the far distance, beat off more than 3,000 entries to win the coastal landscape category of the annual An Taisce Clean Coasts competition.

Originally from Bulgaria, Mr Danev has lived in Inishowen for more than a decade and says that the peninsula offers countless opportunities for landscape photography.
