Tech-savvy Moville kids enjoy computer programming classes
A group of whiz kids in Moville currently giving up their Saturday afternoons for some extra-curricular computer studies may just be onto something.
With up to 4,500 jobs currently unfilled in the Irish IT sector due to a skills shortage, the local youngsters are hoping that their fortnightly programming class will give them a technological leg up for the future.
All members of the newly-formed Moville CoderDojo, a technology club for children aged from 7 to 17 years, they are learning the language of computer code, aiming to become creators rather than simply users of software programmes.
