Countdown to fourth annual St. Stephen’s Day event at Binion Bridge
There will be some quack in Clonmany this Christmas with the fourth annual duck race in aid of Urris GAA club.
With rubber ducks set to be launched off Binion Bridge on St. Stephen’s Day, organisers are expecting their biggest ever crowd at an event, now a popular winter fixture.
Owners are encouraged to paint their entrants with some wacky looking and quirky ducks set to bob their way down the Binion River towards the sea.
With a prize for the best dressed duck and for the person who correctly guesses the time of the winner, organisers are asking as many people as possible to gather at Binion at 1pm to cheer on their tiny competitors. They say that ducks may even be trained prior to the event!
