More than 71 per cent of deals closed for less than €100,000
The Inishowen property market declined over the past two months with the average house price down almost 18 per cent since the last set of figures here at the end of summer.
The rate of sales fell too with just 21 properties changing hands from the middle of October until the end of December compared to 46 sales from July to early October.
A collective sum of €1,763,644 was spent on properties here since October 14 last with some 15 of the 21 total sales (71%) taking place for less than €100,000.
With a current average property price of €83,983 here, down from €101,689 in the third quarter of 2013, the largest number of transactions took place in the Buncrana area with five compared to two in Carn, Gleneely, Burnfoot and elsewhere.
