A Buncrana teenager is on cloud nine this week after winning a prestigious national dancing competition, which comes with a top prize of an all expenses paid ten-day holiday for two to Portugal.

Eighteen-year-old Shauna Doyle, from Tullyarvan, Buncrana, couldn’t believe it when she scooped the All-Ireland jiving title following a two-day contest in County Mayo earlier this month.

Shauna (above) and her dance partner and boyfriend, Conor O’Donnell, from Dungloe, impressed the judges with their moves, emerging as overall winners ahead of 48 other couples from across the country.

A former pupil of St. Oran’s NS and Crana College, Shauna couldn’t believe it when the duo danced away with the top prize at Claremorris.
