‘Dog poo is stopping us from winning a gold medal’

Spring clean-ups arranged for Buncrana and Moville

The Buncrana Tidy Towns Initiative says that ‘dog poo on our streets’ is stopping the town from gaining a gold medal in the national competition.

Next Saturday, April 5 next, Buncrana Tidy Towns is launching a ‘Dog Fouling Awareness’ scheme. Volunteers will give free advice and doggy bags to pet owners at various locations where dogs tend to be walked.

Members hit the streets following the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Buncrana earlier this month. They are also concerned about cigarette ends and chewing gum ahead ahead of the arrival of Tidy Towns judges later in the summer.
