Eight designs from Inishowen set for National Final in Dublin

Students across Inishowen are vying for your votes as the Grand Final of the prestigious ‘Junk Kouture’ recycled competition approaches.

Students from Buncrana, Carn and Moville have battled against more than 2000 entries – the most popular year of Junk Kouture to date – to reach the final.

The final, which takes place in the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, Dublin on May 2 will feature 80 teams from across the country.

However, this is not the first time at a Junk Kouture Grand Final for experienced Carn School students, Eimear McLaughlin and Aoife McLaughlin, both from Malin and Annah Lafferty from Glengad.

“This is the second year in a row that we’ve been lucky enough to qualify for the finals,” said fourth year pupil Eimear. “This is the second year that me and Aoife have entered Junk Kouture – last year our dress ‘Automaton’ also got to the final.
