THE CHILDREN from a primary school in Cockhill are pleading to the councillors in Inishowen to build them a pedestrian bridge.

Members of the Cockhill Bridge Action Group were stationed outside the PSC in Carn on Monday ahead of the first meeting of the Inishowen Municipal District.

The group were joined by a parent representative from St. Oran’s National School in Cockhill, Edel Noone.

Ms. Noone said the fact that there was no pedestrian bridge in Cockhill is starting to impact on the lives of the children in the school.

She said the school cannot gain another green flag until the issues surrounding the bridge are rectified.
