Plans are well under way for the annual Moville vintage car rally on Sunday 6 July. Starting some 40 years ago with a scattering of cars, the Moville vintage car rally has grown year after year with almost 150 vintage and classic cars, taking part.

Cars will assemble in the town’s Market Square at 11am before leaving at 3pm for a drive round the picturesque Shrove Head, through Greencastle and back into Moville.

There will be plenty to see this year with an exhibition of old photographs in McFeeley’s shop. There is a few special prizes this year to mark the occasion, including best modified car, best classic car and best 40 year old car as well as the overall prize, for the Rodgie Rawdon perpetual cup.

The presentation of prizes for exhibitors will take place in St Eugene’s Hall afterwards.

There is no cover charge for attending the vintage rally.

Organisers have asked the public to avoid parking in the square overnight and on the morning of 6 July.
