Donegal Sports Partnership has secured funding under the Inishowen Development Partnership Border Villages Social Integration project to deliver a physical activity programme in Muff to engage men between the ages of 35 and 70, to a more positive and healthy lifestyle.
Any men living in Muff or the surrounding areas are invited to come along to the first night in Muff Resource Centre, St Mary’s Community Hall on Tuesday 22 July from 7.30-9pm to learn more about the programme, and also avail of free health checks – all fitness levels and abilities are welcome!
The programme aims to increase the physical activity levels of men and give them an understanding of the benefits of exercise to your overall physical and mental well-being.
A local Physical Activity Coordinator will devise and deliver the programme over 8 weeks, with two group sessions weekly, both lasting between an hour to one and a half hours.
The programme will also encompass sessions on Nutrition, Dietary Management and Mental Health. Men on the Move has already been successfully delivered in the areas of Letterkenny, St Johnston, Killybegs, Falcarragh, Castlefin, Drimarone and Magheroarty.
