Getting writing in Greencastle

New creative writing class begins next week
Budding writers in the Greencastle area have been invited to put pen to paper next week with the return of the popular ‘Write here, Write now’ workshops to the Greencastle Community Centre.
‘Write here, Write now’ is facilitated by locally based writer and journalist Ellen Barr and welcomes people with an interest in writing who would like to learn more about their favourite skill. “This class is open to everyone, and is as much about telling stories and forming friendships as it is about writing – and everyone has a story in them. Absolutely no experience is necessary,” said Ellen.
She added: “If you haven’t written since your school day essays, or if you’re someone who enjoys reading and would like to learn how to put your own ideas down on paper, this is the course for you.”
The workshops start on Wednesday September 24 from 7pm – 8:30pm and will run for six weeks at a cost of 5 euro per person, per session,
