Sleeping rough in Buncrana
Buncrana teenagers will do a ‘sleep out’ tomorrow night to raise awareness of homelessness, local youth club leader Andrew Garvey Williams (pictured) has said.
Teenagers from Buncrana’s senior Foróige club will sleep out, in the safe confines of The Exchange Community Centre, from 9pm on Friday evening to 9am on Saturday morning.
They’ll be running a stall on Buncrana Main Street from 2-3pm on Friday to publicise the event and the work of the North West Simon Community on addressing homelessness.
The sleep out is part of Foróige’s national ‘Citizenship Programme’, and includes a variety of fun supervised activities including games, a barbeque and breakfast.
