21 new homes on their way

PLANS ARE underway for 21 new homes to be built in Buncrana – and one county councillor says it’s the tip of the iceberg for more development on its way.

Donegal County Council plan to build 21 new homes in Ballymacarry.

These include the construction of 11 three-bedroom homes, two four-bedroom houses, eight two-bedroom apartments as well as a play area.

Buncrana-based councillor Nicholas Crossan welcomed the plans, saying there was a real demand for houses in both the private and social housing sectors.

He said: “It is great to see that there is a confidence back in the area. I am not going to say there is going to be a rush like there was in 2004 and 2005, but there is a slight confidence in the market.”
