A VIDEO promoting Inishowen will be screened on all Aer Lingus transatlantic flights – reaching around 6,000 people each day.

The video, ‘Atlantic Road: A love Letter to Donegal’, was released earlier this year by local actor and budding director, Michael McLaughlin and writer, Danny O’Donnell.

Since being released on St Patrick’s Day, it has attracted a quarter of a million views online and has featured in a number of film festivals, including the Galway Fringe Festival.

It’s now caught the attention of Aer Lingus who plan to screen it on every one of their ten transatlantic flights each day throughout the months of February and March, next year.

Speaking to the Inishowen Independent, Michael, who owns supermarket Londis in Ballyliffin, said: “We’re absolutely delighted that it has been selected and it will hopefully help to showcase Inishowen to a wider group of travellers that might be interested in visiting this beautiful part of the world.”
