Malin Head toilet block out for tender

 

There are fears that new toilets planned for Malin Head could take away from the beauty of the tourist attraction but Cllr. Martin McDermott says they will be built in the ‘perfect spot’.

THE TENDER for phase two in the development of Malin Head has been released, however controversy over the proposed plans remains.

Donegal County Council, supported by Fáilte Ireland, are currently seeking tenders for construction work to be carried out in Malin Head, which includes road widening, extending the existing car park and the creation of toilet facilities.

For years, councillors and local representatives have called on Fáilte Ireland to develop better tourist facilities at Malin Head. However there are fears arising locally that there has been no consultation with locals.
