DONEGAL’S Road Safety Officer Brian O’Donnell is asking the public to ‘wise up and cop on’ to danger on our roads after 11 people were killed on the county’s roads last year.
In Donegal in 2016, there were seven fatal collisions, which resulted in the deaths of 11 people. Up to the 27 July there had been one death, but over the following 8 weeks there were nine more tragic deaths. Three collisions claimed seven lives during that period.
