Twelve refugee families to arrive in Inishowen by late May, council confirms


Plans to resettle twelve refugee families in Buncrana and Carn this summer have met with universal approval in Inishowen this week.

A total of thirty families will be housed in the county, with the first twelve scheduled to arrive in Inishowen by late May, Donegal County Council has confirmed.

The resettlement will be overseen by an inter-agency steering group, coordinated by the council and comprised of representatives from the ETB, the Department of Social Protection, An Garda Síochana, Tusla and the HSE.
