A BABY BOY who died prematurely was left in a room for four weeks in Letterkenny General Hospital.
His distraught mum, Lisa, had thought he’d been buried weeks earlier but when she found out he hadn’t and had in fact been left in a room, she was then prevented from attending his burial.
The shocking and upsetting case was heard on an RTE Radio show last week, in which Lisa, who wished to remain anonymous, revealed that her son Eoin, died in the womb as a result of complications arising from a rare condition.
She chose to bury Eoin in the hospital’s ‘Little Angels’ garden, with other babies, opposed to burying him in a plot on his own.
