Apologies sent to motorists wrongly convicted of minor offences
GARDAÍ have said sorry to Inishowen motorists who they wrongly prosecuted in court, it has been revealed.
Letters from the Assistant Garda Commissioner Michael O’Sullivan have been sent to local motorists who were mistakenly brought to court when they should have been given fixed penalty notices.
Dozens of motorists from across Inishowen were given increased fines and penalty points as a result of their court appearance.
