More prefabs needed for Crana College

– 12 year wait for three school campus is ‘dragging on’


A BUNCRANA SECONDARY school may lose part of its basketball court to make way for MORE prefabs – because its new school campus plans continue to ‘drag’ on.

It emerged this week that Crana College may have to lose some of its basketball court because of the expected increase in pupil numbers in the new school year –September 2017 – which means it will require extra space.

The school is one of three schools – including Scoil Gaelcholaiste Chineal Eoghain and Galescoil Bhun Cranncha – waiting to be re-homed in a new campus, in the town.

And while the plans have been on the cards for years, the Department of Education have yet to officially obtain a site.
