St Patrick’s Day was the wettest day of the month
ST PATRICK’S Day was officially the wettest day of the month, the latest Met Eireann data has revealed.
It’s renowned for being the greenest day of the year, but this year St Patrick’s Day wasn’t far off being crowned the wettest.
On the day, there was misery for parade-goers who got drenched at parades in Moville and Buncrana with the continuous showers.
Malin Head recorded a total of 13.2mm of rainfall on the day in question, as well as recording the highest mean wind speed of 24.6knots.
