Danielle McLaughlin laid to rest after bright and colourful Cockhill requiem
Mourners at the Cockhill funeral of Danielle McLaughlin, “the little girl who became a lovely woman”, gave her a bright and colourful send-off in the sunshine last Thursday morning.
The 28-year-old’s brutal murder in India last month was one of Inishowen’s darkest days but her requiem was one of the brightest ever witnessed here.
Danielle’s wicker coffin was adorned with roses in several different colours. Many of the hundreds walking behind wore vivid shades – some with flowers in their hair – to celebrate the life of the 28-year-old.
