Nathan Dixon Gill funeral: Fr Walsh warns young friends that they are ‘not indestructible’


Buncrana priest Fr John Walsh spoke of Inishowen’s “shock” at the funeral of Nathan Dixon-Gill, the first of two teenagers killed in a collision at Quigley’s Point to be laid to rest last Wednesday.

Hundreds of people gathered in the bright May sunshine at Cockhill to bid a final farewell to the local youth, who would have celebrated his eighteenth birthday in July.

Chief among the mourners were Nathan’s mother Sinead, father Leonard, stepfather Liam, siblings, Erin Padraigh and Cahir, grandfather Seamus and Nathan’s other grandparents.
