Man threatened with knife as car stolen in Bridgend

A GOOD Samaritan, who stopped to see if a driver involved in car crash at Bridgend was injured, had his car hijacked after being threatened by a knife.

Around 11.15pm on Friday night, May 26, a silver VW Passat was involved in a road traffic collision at Bridgend.

A passing motorist, driving a black VW Golf pulled over to see if the driver was injured only to have his car hijacked by the driver of the Passat.

Garda Superintendent Eugene McGovern said they were eager to speak to anyone in the vicinity who saw this heartless crime taking place.
