Nathan Farrell funeral: Fr Bradley urges everyone to ‘wake up’ to road safety and end the carnage

Hundreds packed into St Mary’s Church, Cockhill for the funeral of Buncrana teenager Nathan Farrell last Thursday, a day after his friend Nathan Dixon Gill was laid to rest.

The remains of Mr Farrell, who died in a car crash at Quigley’s Point last weekend, were taken to the elevated chapel by horse-drawn carriage.

Nathan’s family members, Junior, Jennifer, Rachel, Gerry, Jessica, Michael, Jodie, Chelsea, Ricky, Sophie and Rachel, were chief among those present to pay their final respects.

Buncrana parish priest Fr Francis Bradley described Nathan as a “superb young man of prayer and faith” who had lived his eighteen years “to the full”.

“Nathan Farrell was a beloved son, a loving brother, a strong uncle, a devoted friend and a good-hearted young fellow.”
