Water is at a ‘critically low level’

 

Calls for East Inishowen users to conserve water

AS PREPARATORY work is set to begin on the multi million upgrade of the Fullerton Dam line to serve the people of East Inishowen, Irish Water have called on people living there to conserve their water.

Irish Water has reiterated its request to consumers living in Quigley’s Point, Redcastle, Moville and Greencastle to conserve and minimise water usage for the foreseeable future due to the unseasonably dry weather conditions.

The water utility say the weather has resulted in historically low water levels for this time of year and despite fall raining over the weekend and more being forecast for this coming week, Irish Water say this won’t be enough.
