Doris Russo’s legacy lives on through Glenevin Waterfall


THE WOMAN instrumental in developing Clonmany’s Glenevin Waterfall Park and National Loop Trails, Doris Russo, has passed away.

Doris Russo was laid to rest on Monday morning in Clonmany, but the legacy she has left behind will continue for years to come.

Born in Rockford Illinois, Doris moved to New Jersey where she and her husband Tony ran a number of businesses over the years. But when he passed away in 1993 Doris had decided to swap the hustle and bustle of the city for a life in the Irish countryside of Clonmany.
