Heartless thieves steal Niamh’s Fairy Door from Swan Park

HEARTLESS thieves have stolen a fairy door belonging to a young cancer patient from Buncrana’s Swan Park, it has been revealed.

Buncrana woman Siobhan Quinn was horrified to see that a small Fairy Door, which she erected for her partner’s sick daughter, was stolen from Swan Park in Buncrana last week.

12-year-old Niamh had visited Buncrana to see her dad Tom, Siobhan’s partner, many times and became fascinated with the quirky fairy doors in Swan Park. Then when Niamh was diagnosed with leukaemia earlier this year Tom bought Niamh her own fairy door.

With the help of her two sisters, Siobhan decorated and personalised the Fairy Door before erecting it in Swan Park just for Niamh. Siobhan said the 12-year-old, who is from Co. Leitrim, was beaming from ear-to-ear when she saw the pictures of her own fairy door in Buncrana.
