Three School Campus ‘spin’ and ‘neglect’ has to end

GOVERNMENT ‘spin’ and ‘neglect’ over Buncrana’s three-school campus has to end.

– That’s the message from TD Charlie McConalogue who says he’s frustrated that the project hasn’t progressed despite being on the agenda for over ten years.

His comments come on the back of a statement released this week by TD Joe McHugh who says a decision on a site has been taken and Donegal County Council are in negotiations with the landowner.

Despite requests from this paper, the site has yet to be officially named by Donegal County Council, or the Department of Education.

Admitting that the project has ‘dragged on’, Deputy McHugh has said that he has requested a meeting between education leaders in Buncrana and Donegal and Minister Richard Bruton to assess the progress on the campus.
