Worry as pink salmon spotted in Crana River
Anglers have been warned to be vigilant, as non-native salmon species have been spotted in the Crana River.

A pink salmon was caught on the Crana River on 21 July, by local angler Mickey McGrory.
“A pink salmon was caught here but we don’t know if this is a once off or if they will spawn here,” local angler Ciaran Fitzgerald told the Inishowen Independent.
“We recorded all of the details of the fish and contacted the IFI (Inland Fisheries Ireland) who took it away immediately. The IFI told us they were spotted in Ireland in the 1980s but in lesser numbers.
