Preparations are continuing ahead of the arrival of 12 families from war-torn Syria in the coming weeks.
Donegal County Council, which heads the steering group that will oversee the resettlement, did not respond to a request for comment yesterday but the Inishowen Independent understands the first families will arrive here before the end of the month.
Scoil Íosagáin in Buncrana is understood to be preparing to accept more than 10 pupils from the new families in the last week of September.
The Donegal Interagency Resettlement Working Group previously said that seven Syrian refugee families would be settled in Buncrana and five families in Carndonagh.
