Urris dumping slammed

More than 20 bags of rubbish collected
A local community development group has slammed those responsible for illegal dumping in the Urris area.
Paul McLaughlin of the Urris Community Development Group said that more than 20 bags of rubbish had been collected from the shore road between Dunaff and Leenan.
And another ten bags full that could not be reached.
Mr. McLaughlin said: “A television, electric strimmer, a carpet and even a sink have been among the items we collected.
“The litter warden will have this collected Tuesday as it was a bank holiday weekend.
“He will carry out an investigation as to the source of this illegal dump and will monitor the area on a regular basis going forward.”
