Attractive Alannah determined to give her all during Dublin contest next month
A young Inishowen woman who has qualified for the final of Miss Bikini Ireland says the contest is ‘definitely the most exciting thing I have ever been a part of.’
Alannah Harrigan, from Burnfoot, is delighted to represent Donegal at the national final in Dublin on October 14, and says she hopes to be a positive role model to all her younger cousins and sister.
“I am really enjoying the experience and don’t want it to end,” the 20-year-old smiled.
A daughter of Marie and Barry Harrigan, Alannah is a fluent Irish speaker, having attended Gaelscoil Bhun Cranncha and Colaiste Chineal Eoghain.
She is one of thirty girls in the final and gained confidence in modelling after taking part in the Miss Donegal contest earlier this year.
“I have always been interested in the idea of modelling but never had the confidence to go for it. Since the Miss Donegal competition my confidence has grown more, which is great because in secondary school I was very quiet and shy.”
“I thought the opportunity [to enter Miss Bikini Ireland] was too good to pass up so I entered and got an email a few weeks later for an interview.”
Alannah studied theatrical and media make-up at Senior College Dun Laoghaire and is now employed as a make-up artist in Derry, a job she describes as her favourite creative outlet.
